Fees
Goods and Services Tax (GST)
The Goods and Services Tax (GST – five per cent) is applied to accommodation charges and meal plans of less than four weeks in duration. Program fees and meal plans of more than four weeks duration are not subject to this tax.
Payment of Fees
Payment may be made by phone (have your credit card ready), Canadian cheque or international money order. The processing fee is non-refundable. Generally, non-refundable deposits (where applicable) will be retained upon cancellation. All other fees may be refunded at the discretion of The Banff Centre.
Financial Aid
The Banff Centre's Scholarship Fund
The generous donations of individuals, corporations and Banff Centre revenues are combined to provide financial assistance for qualified participants in Banff Centre programs. Financial assistance is only applicable to the residency fee, on-campus accommodation and meals, and is not awarded in cash.
Paul D. Fleck Fellowships
Paul D. Fleck Fellowships are granted to artists whose unique achievements and innovation distinguish them in the arts community. The Fellowships recognize the achievement of these gifted artists by providing them the opportunity to create new work using the unique resources of The Banff Centre to develop and refine their projects. The Banff Centre is committed to providing opportunities for accomplished artists to enhance their professional and artistic practice, and contribute to the vibrancy of Canadian arts communities.
