Lindalee Tracey is a journalist, author and film maker whose work investigates the complex social and psychological margins of contemporary life. Tracey has produced award-winning radio and television documentaries for the National Film Board, TV Ontario, Alberta Access, BC Knowledge Network, England’s Channel 4 and the CBC. She has worked as a writer, broadcaster and producer for CBC Radio’s Sunday Morning and As It happens. Her book On the Edge: A Journey into the Heart of Canada, was chosen as one of the ten best non-fiction titles in 1993 by the Globe and Mail and her film Abby, I Hardly Knew Ya, a documentary on a daughter’s search for her derelict father, was nominated for a Genie.
Tracey has won numerous national awards for her magazine and newspaper articles, including “Uncounted Canadians,” an investigative feature on illegal immigrants, which appeared in Toronto Life and was judged the best investigative reporting of 1991 by the Canadian Association of Journalists.
