Marlene Nourbese Philip is a Toronto writer and poet. The manuscript of her collection She Tries Her Tongue, Her Silence Softly Breaks won the prestigious Casa de las Americas prize in 1988. Her most recent book Frontiers: Essays and Writings on Racism and Culture was published in 1992. In 1990, Nourbese Philip was made a Guggenheim Fellow in poetry. Contributor to: |
