Ron Moppett was born in Woking, Surrey, England in 1945. He emigrated with family to Canada in 1957 and became a Canadian citizen in 1978. Moppett studied at the Alberta College of Art (ACA) in Calgary and went on to become a curator and teacher at ACA. He has had several solo exhibitions in Alberta and been involved in numerous group shows throughout Canada.
