Barbara Fischer is an independent writer, curator and lecturer who has worked as a curator of contemporary art at institutions such as the Walter Phillips Gallery, the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Power Plant. In addition to independent work, she teaches in the areas of contemporary art, theory, art history and museology at the Ontario College of Art and at the University of Western Ontario. Her most recent projects include an exhibition on postwar cultural relations between the United States and Canada.
