Summer Music Programs

Under the direction of Barry Shiffman, a co-founder and member of the St. Lawrence String Quartet for 17 years, our Summer Music Programs provide an inspired setting for learning, collaboration, and artistic development. World-renowned for its transformative impact and dedication to the artistic growth of each participant, our intensive programs provide opportunities for the development of new work, and preparation for international competitions, auditions, and performances.

Our alumni teach at music schools and conservatories across Canada and around the world, perform on international concert stages, record for top classical and jazz labels, and contribute to many of the world’s leading orchestras and chamber ensembles. The Banff Summer Arts Festival runs concurrently with the programs, offering dozens of performance opportunities with participating musicians as well as the world-class faculty and visiting artists.
