Janet McNaughton
Janet McNaughton has written eight novels for young people, a picture book, and a junior novel. Her work has won twelve awards and some of her books have been translated into French, German, Portuguese, Dutch, and Danish. She has a Ph.D folklore from Memorial University of Newfoundland and still lives in that province with her husband. In the past few years, Janet has taught a graduate course in Literacy Education for the Faculty of Education of Mount Saint Vincent University, teaching teachers how to teach creative writing to their students. She frequently conducts writing workshops for young people and has taught also adults through the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia and the Maritime Writers’ Workshop in New Brunswick. Teaching writing is one of her passions.
