Fleck Fellowship

Awarded annually by nomination only.

The Paul D. Fleck Fellowship enables established artists working in their field at a senior level, to have an independent artistic residency opportunity at The Banff Centre. The residency may allow the artist to create new work, collaborate with program departments within Arts Programming, or a combination of both. The Banff Centre is committed to providing opportunities for accomplished artist to pursue projects which develop the artist, both professionally and artistically, and contribute to the vibrancy of arts communities around the world.

The Paul D. Fleck Scholarship Trust was named in honour of this former president of The Banff Centre (1982-1992). Since then, the Fleck family has pledged to match the contributions of the Banff Centre friends, donors, alumni, and faculty to this endowment. The Fleck Fellowships in the Arts provide a valuable contribution to the professional development of artists, and allow them to create new work at The Banff Centre. This prestigious award is granted by the Fleck family in the amount of $5000.
