The Peresson Quartet was founded in 2009 at the Colburn School in Los Angeles, California. It has rapidly established itself as a first-class ensemble comprised of violinists Nigel Armstrong and Luanne Homzy, violist Minkyung Sung, and cellist Julian Schwarz.

The quartet has worked extensively with Arnold Steinhardt and Paul Coletti as well as the distinguished Quatuor Ebène. The Peresson Quartet’s members have performed as chamber musicians at the Verbier, Aspen, Cape Cod, Prussia Cove, Eastern, and Sarasota Festivals with artists such as Ani Kavafian, Jon Nakamatsu, Gary Karr, Franklin Cohen, Paul Schoenfield, John Perry, Jorja Fleezanis, Stephanie Chase, and Jon Manasse. They have appeared individually as soloists with the Montreal, Berkeley, Syracuse, Newark, Moscow State Radio, Ottawa, Greensboro, Memphis, and Boston Pops Symphony Orchestras, among others. The quartet’s upcoming engagements include performances in Los Angeles, Sonoma, and the Pacific Northwest.
