The preliminary jury will listen to unidentified copies of the audition recordings submitted by candidates for the competition, and will use a uniform marking system to assign marks. The 10 quartets receiving the highest aggregate marks will be invited to take part in the competition.

Erich Höbarth

Erich Höbarth was born in Vienna in 1956. Höbarth was first concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony from 1980 to 1987; concertmaster and soloist with the Concertus Musicus, and member of the Vienna String Sextet from 1979 to 2004. Since 1987, Höbarth has been a member of Quatuor Mosaïques. More
Louise Hopkins
